Veterans Get TDC HALF OFF

By Bethany Vanderbilt on July 19, 2017

When I met Amanda Rowan eight years ago, one of the things that stood out to me immediately was her courage and commitment to serve others -- to stand up when she saw injustice or inefficiency, to challenge the status quo even when it wasn’t popular to do so, and most importantly to extend herself in order to help others.

Social Work Exam Prep Programs

When she brought me on at the Therapist Development Center six years ago, it became clear that her commitment to making the world a better place was the thread that ran through the heart of the company. Early on with TDC, we started seeing requests from veterans of the US Armed Services who had turned to social work and marriage and family therapy as a second career, and Amanda met each one with gratitude and a willingness to provide the materials at a significant discount. “It’s the least we can do,” she would say, often clearly wishing she could do more. Together we would reflect with awe that everyday brave men and women selflessly protect and defend our nation while we go about our lives in peace.

A few months ago we discussed the fact that we shouldn’t wait for Vets to ask. We should let them know that we are WITH THEM UNTIL THEY PASS, and at a significantly reduced rate. The Therapist Development Center wants to acknowledge their service because we believe more can and should be done by every civilian American to support our troops and veterans. Because of this, we offer all veterans 50% off the cost of our programs.

As a team we've decided that if you are a Veteran of the US Armed Services, you can use our study materials and coaching support for 50% OFF. You’ve dedicated your life in service to our country, and now you’ve chosen a career in mental health -- we are humbled by and grateful for your commitment to service. It would be our honor to help you PASS your social work or marriage and family licensing exams with confidence. Just send us an email with verification of your service and we’ll set you up with the program that you need for half off. You can use the materials until you PASS. Let’s do this.

To receive materials, please provide proof of veteran status and verification of test registration.

Thank you so very much for this opportunity. I am a 20 year U. S. Navy Veteran and have been a Mental Health Social Worker for the last 20 years. I was already approved to take the LCSW Exam in 2008, Due to unforeseen circumstances, I did not take it at the time, but I now plan to take it as soon as I am approved. I will notify the board of social work to inquire about my next step. I would love a copy of the TDC study package in preparation for taking the Exam, please advise, thanks and have a good day.

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I have heard great things about you all and your services from fellow students and Social Workers on the LCSW Exam Study Group on Facebook. As a veteran who has experienced some of the mental difficulties that can go hand in hand with being a veteran, and combined with my status as a student of Social Work, I greatly appreciate your offer and plan to take full advantage of it. You are offering many veterans the chance to help their fellow service members through both their education and life experiences. Thank you so much!

I am taken aback at this wonder opportunity you are providing veterans who have proudly served our country. As a veteran myself these gestures mean a great deal and provides me with a great sense of pride and gratitude that others are willing to acknowledge the sacrifices our military men and women have freely given. This gesture speaks volumes about your company. I will be accepting this great gift in the future when I get have registered for the LCSW. Thank you so very much for this valuable gift.

Great work. It's been 10 years since I served in the uniform on a battlefield. A high school dropout from a dysfunctional childhood, the military gave me the opportunity to grow into an individual with values and direction. But they offered a currency of war to get it. It's been an odyssey but after an undergraduate degree and half way through an MSW, I'm returning to the battlefield this fall as a practicum student and, eventually, upon graduation, a VA employee to continue to serve those who gave me the most. Your investment into our veteran culture isn't taken lightly. Thank you for this opportunity to help folks like me back to where we can re-engage purpose and service.

I came to your website because several social workers at work told me that your materials helped them pass their social work exam on the first try. I was surprised to learn about this gift you are giving veterans. Wow. I'm really honored and humbled by your generosity and support. I'll send in my registration info and proof of service as soon as I get my exam booked. I just wanted to give you some thanks for this. It's really incredible.

I’m a veteran and would like to know if you’re still offering free study materials and support for those that have served. I was in the National Guard and have my NGB 22 Form , Proof of Separation and Record of Service. I have my initial DD214 documenting my basic training period and I recently requested my final DD214. The Guard usually issues the NGB 22 as proof. I need to take exam soon. Please let me know if this is still available.
