Coaches Corner: Preparing for MFT Exams

By Bethany Vanderbilt on January 22, 2018

Meet and Connect with our MFT Coaches

One of the best things about TDC is our coaches! Asya Mourraille and Robin Gluck have helped thousands of interns pass their MFT licensing exams and look forward to providing you with support as you prepare to PASS WITH CONFIDENCE! Robin and Asya are committed to supporting you every step of the way and will be with you until you pass!

Robin and Asya have extensive knowledge about the inner workings of their program and your exam. They have both been trained by Amanda Rowan and have participated in the development of the program content.

Based on their training and contributions to the development of the programs, Asya and Robin are best prepared to help answer your questions, strengthen your strategies, and manage test-taking anxiety- more so than those unaffiliated with TDC!

So, who are they and how can you connect with them?

First, connecting with Robin and Asya is EASY. Anytime you are studying on the TDC website, you'll see a contact form on the right-hand side of the page that says, "Ask a Coach." When you fill in the fields and submit it, it is delivered directly to your coach's email inbox.

Here's a bit more about each of them:

Asya Mourraille, MFT

Asya Mourraille is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in psychology. She earned her master’s degree in counseling at San Francisco State University.

Currently maintaining a private practice in the Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco and in the town of Larkspur, Asya provides psychotherapy to individuals, families, and children. Her therapeutic style integrates elements of Hakomi, mindfulness and attachment-based practices, inner gestalt interventions, and relational psychodynamic psychotherapy. Here is her website for more details: www.asyamtherapy.com

Asya is particularly excited to be a part of TDC's team because of her own success in passing both MFT licensure exams using the TDC study method. Upon discovering TDC about 5 months into her exam preparation, Asya felt able to relax and prepare for the exams with confidence. Through TDC, Asya found what she needed to pass the test—effective strategies, anxiety reduction techniques, useful content, and incredible support. Asya is thrilled to be able to help clinicians pass their exams as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Robin Gluck, MFT

Robin Gluck is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has a bachelor’s degree from Emory University, a master’s degree in public policy from American University, and a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling from San Francisco State University.

Robin pursued her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy after working as a policy researcher and advocate for many years and recognizing that her passion was to work directly with people  overcoming hardships. Robin spent over four years providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in community-based mental health agencies.

Robin found TDC's program helped her learn all of the material, overcome the anxiety she initially felt while preparing for her licensing exam, and become a better therapist. She now enjoys being able to coach interns and share her personal experience with those who are preparing for the MFT exams.

Whether you are looking for general support or more individualized care, Robin and Asya are the ONLY MFT coaches who have met the rigorous standards Amanda Rowan set when developing the exam prep programs. They are a huge asset to Therapist Development Center and are prepared to help you PASS your exam with confidence.

If you're curious about other team members, you find out more here.

Happy Studying!
